Title: Leisureworld Caregiving Centre Registered Nurse (Long Term Care)  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time

Salary: To be negotiated, As per collective agreement

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Brantford, Ontario (2 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: General duty


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning


Other Information:Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario. Bachelor of Science - Nursing or equivalent.
